PREPARING A PEOPLE FOR THE BLESSED HOPE
As the Lord’s return to establish His reign on earth draws closer each day, we are seeing the signs of His return manifesting themselves in the daily news headlines. This series focuses on insights from the Apostle Paul’s two letters to the Thessalonians which we can apply to our lives so that we will be prepared to receive the salvation to be revealed at Jesus’ return.
THE PROVIDENCE OF GOD
The book of Esther relates a major crisis in Jewish history. Here is a fascinating fact: Esther is the ONLY book in the Bible that makes no mention of God. However, in this study we learn first-hand that God’s “hidden hand” of divine providence is revealed throughout the story as He rules over the affairs of men, even in their darkest hours. Behind the scenes God always rules. The theme for our church “Vision” IN 2022 comes from the book of Esther: “For Such a Time as This.”
STRONG AND COURAGEOUS
After their miraculous delivery from 400 years of slavery in Egypt followed by 40 years of wandering in the desert due to their unbelief, the Israelites were finally ready to “enter in” to the land God had promised Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Joshua is God’s chosen vessel to succeed Moses and lead them in. This series presents the challenges he faced as their leader and, within these teachings, you will recognize many parallels between the life of the believer in Christ and the successes and failures the Israelites experienced as they conquered the land and its inhabitants.
THE LETTER TO THE “LAST DAYS” CHURCH
Through the sermons in this series, Pastor John Romero teaches verse-by-verse (also known as expository teaching) through the Apostle Paul’s letter to the Colossians. Referring to the church at Colosse as the Last Days Church, Pastor John connects Paul’s instruction as well as the characteristics of the Colossian believers with current events and modern day church attributes.
MINOR PROPHETS WITH A MAJOR MESSAGE
Referred to as “minor” only because of the length of their writings relative to those of the “major” prophets, their is nothing minor about the messages they deliver to Israel. In this series Pastor John Romero presents the powerful warnings, pronouncements, and prophecies from these often overlooked prophets. Noting which prophets wrote prior to Judah’s exile to Babylon (pre-exilic), which wrote during the exile (exilic), and which wrote after (post-exilic), Pastor John’s insights into the content and essence of these messages will tremendously broaden your understanding of Israel’s history as well as current “end-times” events.
